Kevin L. Best, age 58, of Edon, Ohio, went to be with his Lord at 3:53 P.M. on Friday, March 10, 2017, after a brief illness, at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. Kevin was a bright spot in a loving family of thirteen that he truly loved and adored. They were completely devoted to him as he grew from a child to becoming a special man. His loving nature was one that knew no strangers and he was always quick to extend his hand in greeting them as a friend. He enjoyed his shows, especially “Little House on the Prairie” and the “Lawrence Welk Show,” and movies and loved to dance and listen to the music of his favorites, such as Johnny Cash, Elvis, Vince Gill and many others. He loved to eat, especially cheeseburgers and fries, and drinking coffee and also enjoyed trips to Pizza Hut. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Kevin had worked at Quadco for many years and was currently working at PCS in Defiance, Ohio.
Kevin L. Best was born on August 2, 1958, in Montpelier, Ohio, the son of William Edward “W.E.” and Marie C. (Trausch) Best.
Survivors include four brothers, Steven (Linda) Best, of Edon, Jerry Best, of Sarasota, Florida, Gary (Reta) Best, of Edon, and Michael Best, Sarasota, Florida; six sisters, Marilyn Keller and Linda (George) Clark, both of The Villages, Florida, Patricia (James) Kiess, of Edon, Cheryl (Denny) Myers, of Auburn, Indiana, Kathy (Dennis) Fee, of Hamilton, Indiana, and LuAnn Best, of Arvada, Colorado; one sister-in-law, Diane Best, of Blakeslee; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dean Best; and one sister, Sharon Best.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, with a scripture service to be held on Thursday, beginning at 8:00 P.M. Services celebrating Kevin’s homecoming to paradise in heaven will be held on Friday, March 17, 2017, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Blakeslee, with Father Fred Duschl officiating. Interment will follow at St Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
