Large-scale employer to invest in Defiance location.

Official word on local hopes to fill a prospective industrial site west of Defiance with a large-scale employer arrived during an event this week. State officials, including Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine’s office, announced that First Quality Tissue, which plans to manufacture paper-products such as towels and tissue, will invest nearly $1 billion at Defiance County’s proposed megasite and create some 400 jobs over a seven-year period.
