Larry G. Hartman, 81

Larry George Hartman, 81 years, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Parkview Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Larry was born August 15, 1941, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the son of the late George and Anna (Meyer) Hartman.  He was a 1959 graduate of Fairview High School.  On June 15, 1963, Larry was united in marriage to Diana Marten.  He worked at B.F. Goodrich for 43 years.  He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Hicksville where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus (fourth degree Knight).  He was also a Mark Center trustee for 20 years.  He was a member of the Hicksville Fraternal Order of Eagles #2556 and the Bryan Moose Lodge 1064.  Larry enjoyed spending time with his family, grilling, mowing lawn and spending time outdoors.  A perfect day for Larry was having the family over for a cookout and watching his children and grandchildren ride around the property on his four wheelers, golf carts and anything else with a motor.

Larry is survived by his wife, Diana; three sons, Eric (LaChelle) Hartman of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Rick Hartman of Winchester, Indiana, and Jeff (special friend – Leann Fitzwater) Hartman of Hicksville; one daughter, Shelley (Eric) Clark of Hicksville; 9 grandchildren, Justin Hartman, Travis (Kelsey) Hartman, Tyler (Kayla) Hartman, Nicole (Brandon) Eicher, Tanner (Rebecca) Hartman, Jacob (Shelby Tucker) Hartman, Sophie Clark, Ella Clark, and Olivia Clark; 6 great-grandchildren, Eli, Alivia, Lincoln, Landon, Emersyn, Luka, and one on the way; and two sisters, Donna (Norm) Gilbert of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Cheryl (Mike) Johnson of Bryan, Ohio.  Larry was preceded in death by his two sisters, Dolores “Jeanie” Bassett and infant Shirley Ann Hartman.

All services will be held privately per Larry’s request, with Deacon Rod Conkle officiating.  Burial will be in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio 43526.
