Larry G. Lehman, 76

Larry G. Lehman, 76 years of Hamilton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 22, 2024, in his residence. Larry was born July 23, 1947, in Angola, Indiana, the son of the late Norris and Gladys (Arnold) Lehman. Larry was a 1967 graduate of Angola High School. Larry married Kristy A. Mitchell on June 9, 2009, in Angola, and she preceded him in death on September 4, 2023. Larry previously worked at Burger King as well as Halix in Hamilton, until he was forced to retire. He then began Larry’s Lawn Care which he operated for 30 years. Larry was devoted to the principles of AA and contributing to the sobriety of others. He enjoyed being outdoors, mowing, fishing, watching the birds, and grilling.

Surviving are his two daughters, Sarah (Jon) Burk of Waldron, Michigan, and Lori J. Lichtenwalter of Pawley’s Island, South Carolina; five grandchildren, Aaron Lichtenwalter, Jarod Lichtenwalter, Madison Burk, Morgan Burk, and Makenna Burk; one brother, Delbert (Penny) Lehman of Angola. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Kristy; one daughter, Karrie Lehman; one sister, Shirley Thrush; one brother, Roger Lehman.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2024, in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 3985 East Church Street, Hamilton, where memorial services will begin at 5:00 p.m. with Rodney Snyder officiating. Private interment will take place in Waldron Cemetery, Waldron, Michigan.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be made to Alcoholics Anonymous, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
