Larry “Joe” Chamberlain, age 76, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016, at Community Health and Wellness Centers- Bryan, where he had been a patient. Joe was a welder at Challenge Cook for many years and was also employed by 50+5 Corporation and Airmate. He loved hunting, trapping and Indian lore. He and his wife enjoyed flea markets and took part in the primitive festivals at Friendship, Indiana.
Born on January 24, 1940, in Montpelier, Ohio, he was the son of Loren and Eleanor Fisher Chamberlain and grew up on the family farm near West Unity, Ohio. He married Patricia E. (Miller) in 1990 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and she preceded him in death on September 15, 2016.
Joe is survived by his children, Charlotte Luanna Adams and Langdon Loren Adams, of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one sister, Muriel Stevens, Tucson, Arizona; two nieces, Sheila (Bernard) Palazzolo and Shara Mendoza Lopez, both of Tuscon; one nephew, Shane Scott (Alexandria) Stevens, of Phoenix, Arizona; his great-nephews and great-niece, Christopher and Nicholas Palazzolo and Brittany Nicole Mendoza, all of Tuscon; and one cousin, Lynn (Andrea) Burkholder, of Palmyra, Michigan. Also surviving are his wife’s caring and supportive family, Doug (Donna) Wilson, of Edgerton, Ohio, Wendell (Wendi) Wilson, of Archbold, Ohio, and Kenneth (Jackie) Wilson, of Edgerton; Theresa (Phil) Taylor, of Bryan; ten step-grandchildren; and fourteen step-great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death in addition to his wife were his parents and a grandson, Eric Scott McCasland.
Visitation for Larry “Joe” Chamberlain will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, from 3:00-7:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, Ohio. Grave side funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Shiffler Cemetery with Pastor Susan St. Peter officiating.
Memorials in the name of Larry “Joe” Chamberlain may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
