Larry Sines, 66

Larry D. Sines, 66, of Montpelier passed away Wednesday afternoon at his home.  He was born on August 14, 1947 in Adrian, Michigan to Samuel N. and Betty (Eggelston) Sines.  Larry proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army as a Spec. 5 developing aerial photographs.

Larry retired from Ferguson Tools in Edgerton as a machinist; he had also worked as a machinist at Mohawk Tools in Montpelier.  He was a member of the VFW in Montpelier, and previous member of the Montpelier Moose and Montpelier Eagles.  Larry had worked as a DJ in the Montpelier area, and had also won many events racing motorcycles.  He was a family man, who enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids, he also enjoyed listening to 1950-1960’s classic rock.

He is survived by his son Larry Duane (Diane Bufford-Sines) Sines II of Killeen, Texas; one daughter Amanda Nagel of West Unity; eight grandchildren; two brothers Samuel (Kay) Sines of Montpelier and Leo (Pegge) Sines of Edgerton; two sisters Nancy (Bob) Wilkerson of Adrian, Michigan and Vickey Osmun of Montpelier; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and step father Clifford Reamsnyder.

There will be a private graveside service for Larry on Wednesday December 4th at Riverside Cemetery with Pastor Don Harris to officiate.  Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.  Donations can be made to donor’s choice.
