The excitement of a new school was dampened for a moment on Sunday as the last graduating class at North Central Local Schools graduated 31 students. The building, constructed in 1922, will be demolished and replaced with a new building. The class received $383,000 in college scholarships. In an emotional moment for all, Brock Mealer, who was paralyzed in a crash in 2007 that killed his father, defied 99 to 1 odds of being able to walk again and used two canes to walk on stage to speak to the class and offer encouragement for the future.
