In Liberty Center, some new rules are being implemented to prevent misuse and vandalism of the village’s Memorial Park shelter houses.
Village Council is concerned because the shelter house, located at the west end of the park, is frequently targeted by vandals.
Council vited to close the park from dusk till dawn, and also to check into the feasability of installing security lights there.
Meanwhile, the village will begin accepting rental requests for the shelter houses March 2. The cost is $75, $25 of which is a refundable deposit.
