Liberty Center Local Board of Education met on Monday night. Items on the table included discussion of future construction of a pre-K through 12 school, first quarter income tax figures, and calamity days.
The subject of calamity days was of particular interest due to the extreme amounts of snow we’ve gotting so far this winter, along with all the lost days of school so far.
The board tossed around ideas about a resolution for an alternative calamity day make-up plan, which if enacted, would let the students complete classroom lessons over the course of two weeks, either in school, or at home.
