Half of six area counties had unemployment rates above 4% in April and half were below, according to figures posted by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS). The lowest was Putnam County at 3.3%, followed by Paulding and Williams counties at 3.8%. The highest area rate in April among area counties was Henry County at 4.7% followed by Fulton and Defiance at 4.3% and 4.0%, respectively.
