Lois Boucher, 91

Lois M. Boucher, age 91, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:15 A.M. on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home, in Arlington, Ohio, where she was a resident. Mrs. Boucher was a 1941 graduate of Bryan High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, and graduated from International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 1942. She began her career working at First National Bank in Fort Wayne and then worked for the Bryan Canning Company as office manager along side her husband, Richard, who became sole owner of the company in 1951, until her retirement. Lois was a faithful member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bryan for fifty-eight years, where she was a member of the Crib and Cradle Club. She was also a member of the Progressive Study Club. She enjoyed swimming, boating, playing the piano, reading, and listening to her favorite music from the Gaither Vocal Band. Through much of her retirement, she enjoyed traveling all over the United States with her husband in their RV and also enjoyed travel to Egypt and the Holy Land.

Lois Marceil Boucher was born on October 7, 1923, in Bryan, Ohio, the daughter of Grover and Dora (Sellers) Peters. She married Richard C. Boucher on November 23, 1947, in Bryan and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2010.

Survivors include two daughters, Sally Elsea, of Findlay, Ohio, and Jayne Boucher, of Sylvania, Ohio; one son, Bruce (Marcia) Boucher, of Noblesville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Christopher (Schal) Boucher, of Hillard, Ohio, and Janelle (Richard) Boucher Linn, of Brunswick; Ohio; and her great-grandchildren, twins, Evan and Emma Linn, and Claire Boucher. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Reverend Olen Peters, and one sister, Zetta May Ames.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Services will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, Bryan, on Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at 12:00 P.M. with Reverend Jeffrey Motter officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery.

Memorials in the name of Lois M. Boucher are requested to the Bryan Area Foundation or to Wesley United Methodist Church, Bryan, Ohio.
