LoisJean Hilda Richer, age 82, of Stryker, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Genesis in Bryan.
LoisJean was born in Henry County, Ohio, the daughter of Alfred G. and Pauline (Meyer) Rabe. In 1954 she married Harold Gerken , who died in 2009. In 1984 she married Lawrence Richer, and he preceded her in death in 2003. She was a member of the Stryker United Methodist Church. She was an excellent seamstress.
Surviving is a son, Scott Gerken of Helena, MT; three daughters, Cynthia (Bob) Granzow of Murrieta, CA, Peggy (Chuck) Jones of Perry, GA, and Kristi Gerken of Georgia. She is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Marvin K. Rabe of Napoleon; and sisters, Janice Logan of Green Valley, AZ and Karen Peglar of Green Valley, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, and daughter, Jane Wallace.
Visitation for LoisJean will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker, where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery in Stryker. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the American Diabetes Association.
