Louella Elizabeth Andrews, age 97, of Wauseon, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021, at Ayden HealthCare in Wauseon. Prior to her retirement in 1971, she had worked at Fulton Manufacturing.
Louella was born in Fulton County, Ohio on August 17, 1923, the daughter of Charles and Lelia (Bissett) Andrews. She was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Wauseon, where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years. She was a member of the Toledo Craftsmen Guild since 1976. Louella and her sister, Helen, made many crafts, but Louella was known for her hand-made sock monkeys. She enjoyed caring for children in her home for many years. She had a love for her church, children, family, friends and music.
Louella is survived by two nieces, Phyllis Rathbun and Luann Kuney; two nephews, Donnie Lucas and Fred Johnson; and special friends, Jane Patterson and Wanda Greider. She is also survived by many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Lera Lucas, Helen Andrews and Ruby Johnson; and infant brother, Leroy Andrews.
Visitation for Louella will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday. Pastor Michael Doerr will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery.
