Lowell “Beanie” Ayers, 81

Lowell “Beanie” Ayers, age 81, of rural Wauseon, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 in his home. Lowell was a lifelong area farmer.

Lowell was born in Wauseon on August 23, 1935, the son of William “David” and Mildred (Drennen) Ayers. On March 2, 1963 he married Nancy Sebring Stinson, and she survives. He was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church in Wauseon. He enjoyed farming, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving is his wife, Nancy; four children, Doug (Sue) Stinson of Wauseon, Dennis (Treasure) Stinson of Alamonte Springs, FL, Dawn (Ben) Ruffer of Stryker, David (Jayne) Ayers of Wauseon; eight grandchildren; Dereck, Daniel, Luke, Andrea, Ronald, Lauren, Brooke, and Jacob; four great-grandchildren, Henry, Owen, Braxton, and June; sister, Hazel (Robert) McQuillin of Wauseon, and sister-in-law, Beverly Ayers of Wauseon. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Carl Ayers.

Visitation for Beanie will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the First Christian Church. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, also at the church, with Pastor Ralph Wearstler, officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the First Christian Church or Senior Independence Hospice of Toledo, Ohio.
