Lucretia A, Hostetler, 86

Lucretia A. Hostetler, 86, of Greenwood, South Carolina, and long-time resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 11, 2023, in her sister’s residence in South Carolina.  Lucretia was born June 11, 1936 in Woodburn, Indiana, daughter of the late Ivan F. and Leona A. (McClellan) Hostetler.  After graduating from Hicksville High School in 1954, Lucretia moved to nearby Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she began working in the human resources department at Freuhauf Trailer Corporation.  Lucretia worked at Freuhauf for over 47 years, retiring in 2001.  In her younger years, Lucretia enjoyed bowling, and was an avid golfer throughout her life.

Lucretia is survived by two siblings, Frank (Elsie) Hostetler of Hicksville, Ohio, and Connie (Murrell “Tom”) Emerson of Greenwood, South Carolina.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Infant James Hostetler, Jack Hostetler, and Bill Hostetler.

Visitation for Lucretia A. Hostetler will be held Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. at Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville, Ohio.  Funeral services for Lucretia will immediately follow in the funeral home beginning at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Max Begley officiating.  Interment will follow in Forest Home Cemetery.
