Luella M. “Kitty” Cobb, 95

Luella M. “Kitty” Cobb, 95 years, of Bryan, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Genesis HealthCare-Bryan Center, where she was a resident. Kitty was born January 2, 1923 in Paulding, Ohio, the daughter of the late Arthur Ray and Ollie (Lee) Schilt. She married Maurice Yagel on March 22, 1941 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, and the marriage ended in divorce. Kitty then married Paul G. Cobb on July 10, 1951 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and he preceded her in death on June 2, 2012. A devoted homemaker, Kitty was the owner of Spartanburg Music Studio, where they taught guitar lessons for 8 years. She also was a Tupperware Distributor for over 35 years. She attended First Baptist Church in Bryan. Kitty enjoyed all types of music, painting and carrying on a good conversation with others. She had a deep love for friends, family and Tupperware. She loved to be around other people. She was known as a “spitfire” who had a zest for life.

Surviving are her two daughters, Zoa Froelich of Bryan and Lisa Cobb of Charlotte, North Carolina; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; one son, Larry Yagel; foster son, John D. Takacs; six brothers, Paul, Walter, Ralph, Richard, Robert and Harold Schilt; two sisters, Dorothy Henderson and Ruth Opdycke.

Memorial services for Luella M. “Kitty” Cobb will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan with Pastor Calvin Pennington officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Graveside committal services will be held at a later date in Floral Grove Cemetery, Pioneer, Ohio.
