Lyle “Dean” Wann passed away just past 12:00 A.M. Wednesday morning from complications due to a stroke in 2013. Dean and Marie owned and operated Davis Floor Covering until their retirement in 2000. They were married in June 1954, shortly after Dean’s discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps.
Dean was born in Pioneer, Ohio, the son of Francis A. and Evelyn (Woods) Wann on July 7, 1931.
Dean is survived by his wife, Marie E. (Farlow) Wann, of Bryan; two children, Laura L. (Jim) Bazan of Charlotte North Carolina and Dennis L. (Deborah) Wann of Bryan; three grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Francis Chatterly.
Dean was a lifelong resident of the Bryan area and enjoyed the outdoors and being a founding member of the local model airplane group “Hillside Aeromodellers”.
There will be no services at this time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.
