Authorities took a man into custody Wednesday night after he barricaded himself in the basement of a Genoa home when they tried to serve a felony warrant for his arrest, according to the Ottawa County sheriff. Authorities tased 47-year-old Dean Rahe to subdue him enough that the sheriff’s office’s SWAT team could remove him from the home north of Genoa on state Route 51. Rahe had refused multiple requests from police and the sheriff’s office’s SWAT team to leave the home.
