Man charged with domestic violence after striking woman

A domes­tic vio­lence com­plaint has landed a Sher­wood man in jail. Sheriff’s Office says 30 year old Ray-Shawn Maulsby was charged with mis­de­meanor domes­tic vio­lence after he is accused of hit­ting a woman in the face at a home on W. Lawrence St. The man left the home before deputies arrived, and a K9 tracked the man to a nearby library. He’s expected to be arraigned in Defi­ance Munic­i­pal Court and is housed in the Cor­rec­tions Cen­ter of North­west Ohio.
