Manuel M. Belles, age 84, of Wauseon and formerly of Hawaii passed away Thursday April 21, 2016 at the Fulton County Health Center. Prior to his retirement he had worked at the Kaneohe Bay Marine Corp Base in Hawaii.
Mr. Belles was born on October 22, 1931 in Kona, Hawaii the son of the late Peter and the late Matilda (Salcido) Belles. On June 21, 1957 he married the former Janet Drose and she survives. He was a US Marine Corp Veteran.
Surviving besides his wife are daughters; Debra Jean Belles of Honolulu, Donna Ann Beklles of Fairmont, WV, Terry May Lauro of Hawaii, Janice Louise Belles of Wauseon and Sally May Belles of Kapolei, Hawaii. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, brothers, John (Anita) Belles of Jacksonville, FL, Marcos Belles, and sister; Lupe (Curt) Null of Burnside, KY. Preceding him in death besides his parents was sisters Mary Evangeline and brother Moses.
There will be no services locally. Interment will take place in the Punch Bowl Cemetery in Hawaii at a later date. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.GrisierFH.com. The Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon has been entrusted with arrangements.
