Margaret A. Murray, 98

Margaret A. Murray, 98 years, of Bryan, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2021, at SKLD – Bryan Center, Bryan, Ohio.  Margaret was born December 11, 1922, in Little Thorrock, England, the daughter of the late Ernest Charles and Sarah Ann Elizabeth (Slater) Rothbury.  She married Walter O. Murray on March 17, 1945, in London, England, and he preceded her in death on October 15, 2006.  Margaret was a devoted homemaker, tending to the needs of her family.  She had previously worked as a Nurse’s Aide during World War II.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bryan.  Margaret was a volunteer annually helping with the census and obtaining correct information.  Margaret had a love for words, and even wrote a book, which she never sought to publish.  She was an accomplished seamstress, at times making the dresses for entire wedding parties.  Margaret loved to play cards and never turned an opportunity to play.

Surviving is her son, Bruce (Lila) Murray of Wenatchee, Washington; four grandchildren, Corrie Murray of Ellensburg, Washington, Seth Murray of Boulder City, Nevada, Kenneth Murray of Jacksonville, Florida and Scott Murray of Ellensburg, Washington.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter O. Murray; one son, John Murray; one sister and one brother.
