Margaret A. Goldsmith, age 73, of Wauseon went to be with her Lord July 16, 2013 after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Goldsmith was born on February 7, 1940 in Wauseon the daughter of the late Walter and the late Hilda (Precht) Demaline. On June 16, 1958 she married Clarence “Slim” Goldsmith and he survives. Margaret and Slim owned and operated the business; Goldsmith Eggs together for many years. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Wauseon where she had been active with the United Methodist Women, the choir, Sunday school class and had cooked the lunch meal for the bazaar for many years. She also enjoyed golfing, bowling, cooking and spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her husband are two children; Scott (Joni) Goldsmith, Pam Borck and three grandchildren, Landon, Rachel and Nicole. All of her family resides in Wauseon. Also surviving is sister; Maxine Gorsuch of Maumee. Preceding her in death was brother, Robert Demaline and two sisters; Isabell Roth and Jeanette Hoeffel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Friday July 19, 2013 at the Christ United Methodist Church in Wauseon with Pastor Ruth Ann Scoby officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Friends may call in the fellowship hall of the church on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00pm. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to either Christ United Methodist Church or the charity of the Donors’ choice.
