Margaret Jane Taylor, 85, of Avondale, Arizona and formerly of the Edgerton area, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 in Avondale. She was born on February 17, 1932 in Defiance to Walter and Laura (Liski) Donze. Margaret graduated from Edgerton High School in 1950.
She retired from Hayes Albion in Bryan after years of service. Margaret loved listening to her grandchildren’s sporting events over the radio and she was a huge fan of the Phoenix Suns basketball team.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 61 years, Claude S. Taylor of Avondale, AZ; five children, Eddie H. Krill of West Unity, Debra (Greg) Mahan of West Unity, Sandra Conley of Phoenix, AZ, David (June) Taylor of Hicksville and Vickie Taylor of Goodyear, AZ; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Donze and Betty (Ed) Lorentz both of Bryan; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy (Bob) Zizelman of West Unity.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Wilbur, Leland, Richard and Robert Donze and two sisters, Ann Helmn and Lucy Hantz.
A time to receive friends will take place on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home on Main Street in Montpelier. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan with Father Jim Halleron to officiate. Interment will follow at Shiffler Cemetery in rural Bryan. Memorials can be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
