Margery E. Hulings, age 90, of Wauseon passed away late Wednesday August 12, 2015 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. She was a lifelong homemaker and had also worked for the former Willys-Overland Company and the Westhaven Pharmacy.
She was born on August 31, 1924 in Toeldo, Ohio the daughter of the late John and the late Elizabeth (Kapinos) Soncha. On January 6, 1945 she married Irvin Hulings and he survives. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary #553 and the Good Sam Loafers Camping Club Chapter 15. She enjoyed all aspects of the club especially the business part when she was Treasurer for 5 years and President for 6 years. All of the members were considered as extended family and she truly treasured their friendships.
Surviving is her husband, Irvin of Wauseon, son; James Sr. (Nancy) of Wauseon, grandchildren; Melanie and James Jr., great-grandchildren; Amber, Zachery, Genesis, Jayme and great-great-granchild; Anna. She was especially proud of becoming a Great-Great-Grandmother. Also surviving is her niece and God daughter; Peggy Bushea, nieces and nephews, Judy Yingling and family, Jan Planten USAF and family, Jack Kummerow and family and Jeff Kummerow as well as many other nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, son David, brother George Soncha, sisters, Helen Beach, Elizabeth Holsopple and Joanne Kummerow.
In keeping with Margery’s wishes, all services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Her favorite saying was “Plant a tree in memory of me”.
