Marilyn Ramey, 72

Marilyn J. Ramey, 72 years, of Sherwood, passed into the arms of Jesus Saturday, October 4, 2014 at her residence with her family at her side.  Marilyn was born August 24, 1942 in McComb, Ohio, the daughter of the late Norbert and Mildred (Ordway) Brinkman.  She was a 1960 graduate of Continental High School.  She married Teddy S. Ramey on April 15, 1960 in Lebanon, Virginia.  Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who took great pride in providing for her family.  She was a member of Cecil Community Church.  Marilyn enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, knitting, traveling and visiting with her family and friends.

Surviving is her husband, Pastor Teddy S. Ramey of Sherwood; three sons, Terry D. (Jennifer) Ramey of Huber Heights, Ohio, Brian (Sherri) Ramey of Antwerp, Ohio and Joseph (Janet) Ramey of Bradner, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Mike Ramey, Elisha Ramey Ashley Ramey Paige Ramey Alex Weirich, Austin Ramey and Topanga Ramey;  four great-grandchildren; one sister, Margie Carnahan of Continental, Ohio.

Visitation for Marilyn J. Ramey will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood, where Funeral Services for Marilyn J. Ramey will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening with Pastor Michael Lashaway and her husband, Pastor Teddy S. Ramey officiating.  Graveside committal services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 in Sherwood Cemetery.
