Marjorie “Adele” Lehman, 90, of Bryan went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully in her sleep early Sunday morning, January 24, 2016, in Wellington, Florida.
Born April 7, 1925, in Columbia City, Indiana to Gladys (Vanderford) and Carey Connell, she married Ralph C. Lehman on November 17, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2008.
She was a longtime member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Bryan (active in United Methodist Women, made rugs and helped with bazaars). Being a “Snowbird” for many winters she joined First United Methodist Church in Avon Park, Florida and was active in the Avon Park Activities Club.
She is survived by her sister, Eloise Hodapp of Bryan; four children, Karen Beth Woods, of Wellington, Florida, William “Bill” Charles (and wife Kathy) Lehman, of Hamilton, Ohio; Kay Louise (and husband George) Glendening, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Ivan (and wife Teresa) Silva, of Santiago, Chile; seven grandchildren; two step grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Many family and friends will remember her homemade pies, cookies, and ice cream. She excelled at bowling and shuffleboard, and loved to travel, fish and play cards.
Visitation will be Friday, February 5, 2016 from 2:00–4:00 and 6:00–8:00 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan, and Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 10:00– 11:00 a.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church, Bryan. The service will start at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Motter and Pastor Brad Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Shiffler Cemetery, Bryan.
