Marlene J. Durham, age 81, of Wauseon passed away early Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at The Fulton Manor in Wauseon, OH.
Marlene was born in Napoleon, OH on January 1, 1933 to the late Gale and Elma Harmon. On June 3, 1951 she married Donald L. Durham and he survives. Prior to her retirement, Marlene worked for the Cunningham Insurance Agency for many years and ended her working career with the City of Wauseon. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Wauseon, Ohio. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially entertaining her grandchildren. She was an avid card player playing in three different bridge clubs. She also enjoyed traveling.
Besides her loving husband Don, she is survived by daughters Pat Marks, Wauseon, Elaine [Jeff] Lewis, St. Louis, MO, grandsons John (JR)[Leah] Marks, Monclova, Jared [Jordanne] Marks, Whitehouse, Brendan Lewis, > Columbia, MO., and great-grandson Connor Marks. Preceding her in death besides her parents were her siblings Corabelle (Corky) Coldwell, Audrey Sager, Marion Harmon, Beatrice Benien and Rodney (Skip) Harmon.
A memorial service celebrating Marlene’s life will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Wauseon, OH. There will be a visitation from 1-2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the First Christian Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
