Mary Daggett, 85

Mary Caroline Daggett, 85 years, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Mary was born May 25, 1929 in Cowan, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Isaac and Ollie E. (Dodson) King.  She married Ernest Otto Daggett on January 6, 1945 in Rossville, Georgia, and he preceded her in death on June 12, 2011.  Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who found great joy in caring for her family.  She was a member of the Bryan Christian Missionary Alliance Church.  Mary loved to go shopping and find a bargain.  She also was known as a great cook.

Surviving are her three sons, E. Leon Daggett of Kansas City, Kansas, Larry I. (Andrea) Daggett of Bryan, Ohio, Charles R. (Melody) Daggett of Harlan, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Michelle Crager, David Daggett, Steve Burleson, Jennifer Morris, Matt Daggett, Kristina Daggett, Alicia Daggett, Amber Bruot and Michelle Froelich; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Denny (Willodean) King of Estle Springs, Tennessee and John (Diane) King of Huntertown, Indiana; one sister, Emma Jean Neal of Fort Wayne, Indiana.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ernie; two sons, Paul E. and John K. Daggett; one brother, Benny King and two sisters, Beatrice Smith and Mae Tatum.

Visitation for Mary C. Daggett will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan where Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2014 in the funeral home with Pastor Jon Chase officiating.  Interment will follow in Fountain Grove Cemetery, Bryan, Ohio.

The family would like to acknowledge and thank great-grandson Logan Meller for taking extra care and special concern for his great-grandmother for the past several years.
