Mary E. Miller, 93, of Hicksville, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022. She was born February 16, 1929, in Hicksville, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ward and Dorothy (Poth) Bell. Mary was a 1947 graduate of Hicksville High School. She married Marlin E. Miller on July 6, 1949 in Defiance County, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on September 22, 2015. Mary worked as a clerical worker for Defiance County, typist for Navistar, gift shop clerk and as a homemaker in her own home. She was a member of Grabill Missionary Church. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, and reading.
Mary is survived by her three children, Keith (Kathy) Miller of Willard, Ohio, Kent (Hannah) Miller of Hicksville, Ohio, and Linda (Mike) Miller of Garrett, Indiana; six grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Marlin; one son, Gary Miller; and one great-grandson, David Sheppard.
Visitation for Mary E. Miller will be held Tuesday, March 22, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon in Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 706 North Main Street, Hicksville. Funeral services for Mary will immediately follow in the funeral home beginning at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Steve Eicher officiating. Interment will follow in Six Corners Cemetery, Hicksville.
