Mary Hammontree, 88

Mary A. Hammontree, age 88, of Wauseon passed away early Friday November 1, 2013 at Fulton Manor in Wauseon. Prior to her retirement she, along with her husband, William owned and operated Hammontree’s in downtown Wauseon for many years.

Mrs. Hammontree was born near Wauseon on February 1, 1925 the daughter of the late Steven and the late Kathryn (McKimmey) Stutzman. On July 18, 1948 she married William Hammontree and he survives. She was a member of the First Church of God in Wauseon.

Surviving is her husband, William of Wauseon, two sons; David L. Hammontree of Wauseon, William D. (Pam) Hammontree of Wauseon, daughter, Patricia (Patrick) Janes of Mason, Ohio, grandchildren; Heidi Mekus, Austin Hammontree, Nichole Hammontree, Amanda Hammontree, Krystina Price, Jenelle Janes, Erin Janes, Conner Janes, brother, Olen Stutzman and sister-in-law Virginia Geringer. Preceding her in death was sister; Arlene Andrews and brothers, Darrell, Russell and David Stutzman.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday November 4, 2013 at the First Church of God in Wauseon with Pastor Paul Flores officiating. Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the First Church of God from 2:00-6:00pm on Sunday. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Church of God.
