Mary Jo Bennett, age 78, of rural Edon, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017, in her home. Mrs. Bennett was a graduate of Hilltop High School. She was a homemaker and member of the Edon United Methodist Church
Mary Jo Bennett was born on November 14, 1938, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Ernest and Wilda L. (Heaton) Lehman. She married Roger L. Bennett on September 21, 1958, in West Unity, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on May 24, 2008.
Survivors include two daughters, Becky Bennett, of Edon, Ohio, and Laura (James) Wofford, of Lake City, Florida; a brother, Charles (Glenda) Lehman, of Archbold, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Jean (Gary) Heller, of Whitehouse, Ohio, and Janet Bennett, of Montpelier, Ohio; and nine nephews and nieces. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Walter Bennett.
Visitation will be held in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 9, 2017. Services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edon, with Pastor Doug Widdowson officiating. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier, Ohio.
Memorials in the name of Mary Jo Bennett are requested to the Edon Chapter of the Future Farmers of America, Williams County Veterans Memorial or to Edon United Methodist Church.
