Mary L. Sanders, 86

Mary L. Sanders, age 86, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 5:42 P.M. on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Community Health Professionals Inpatient Hospice near Defiance, Ohio, after a brief illness. Ms. Sanders was a 1949 graduate of Edgerton High School and was employed as a claims consultant by Lincoln Life Reinsurance in Fort Wayne, Indiana, retiring with thirty-five years of service. She was a devoted member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton, where she was a Eucharistic minister and a member of the Rosary Altar Society, and was a member of John D. Smith Post #10 American Legion Auxiliary in Edgerton. An avid bowler, for many years she enjoyed bowling on league teams. She also enjoyed gardening and cooking.

Mary L. Sanders was born on September 22, 1931, near Edgerton, the daughter of Charles and Julia Frances (Bell) Sanders. She is survived by one brother, Tony (Kathy) Sanders, of Maumee, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Maxine Sanders, of Edgerton, and Renate Sanders, of Greensboro, North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Roy, John, Paul and Stanley Sanders; a sister, Ruth Ann Sanders; and two sisters-in-law, Margaret and JoAnn Sanders.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, followed by a scripture service at 8:00 P.M. Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Edgerton with Reverend Daniel Borgelt officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Edgerton.
