Mary Lou “Ding” Pierce, age 78, of Bryan, Ohio, died at 8:15 P.M. on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at Genesis Healthcare-Bryan Center where she had been a resident. Mary had been an avid bowler and was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233 and Bryan VFW Post #2489 Auxiliary. She worked as a candy maker at Spangler Candy company for 47 years before she retired.
Mary was born June 7, 1939 in Defiance County, the daughter of Corres and Bernice (Green) Pierce. She is survived by her siblings, Leslie Pierce, of Bismark, North Dakota, Pat Rowe, of Melburn, Judy Handy, of Hicksville, Kay Price, of Fishers, Indiana, Tom Pierce, of Butler, Indiana along with many nieces and nephews and her dog, Buddy. She was preceded in death by her parents, long time partner, Elna Willig, brother, Corres “Lee” Pierce, half-sister, Billie Wolfe and nephews, Greg, Jimmy and Steve Pierce.
In keeping with Mary’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are under the care of Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan.
