Melissa M. Skinner, age 53, of Wauseon, Ohio, went into the arms of Jesus on September 9, 2018, in her home. Melissa has been a school teacher at Morenci High School for four years where she was actively involved in the drama department, and had also taught at Four County Career Center for 16 years, and also served there as a counselor.
Melissa was born in Toledo on July 11, 1965, the daughter of James and Ellen (Lind) Nyburg. She was a proud 1987 BGSU Alumni and had a successful career as a teacher and V.O.C.E. She married Matthew Skinner on November 15, 2015, and they have spent three wonderful years together. In her spare time she had a huge love of Broadway (everything was a song cue in her world)!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ellen (Lind) Nyburg; father, James Nyburg; and step-father, Jim Connor.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Matthew Skinner; daughter, Taylor (Kent) Nagel; step-sons, Caleb Skinner and Luke Skinner; sisters, Denise Jesse and Deborah Laughlin; and grandson, Rylan Nagel.
A Celebration of Melissa’s Life will be held from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 15, 2018, at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Archbold. Memorial contributions may be given to the benevolence of the family. Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.grisierfh.com.
