Melvin D. Palmerton, age 67, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 6:05 P.M. on Sunday, December 20, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family. Mel was a 1972 graduate of Edgerton High School and Four County Joint Vocational School. He owned Mel’s Collision for over 30 years. Mel was an avid golfer and a member of Riverside Greens in Stryker, Ohio.
Melvin D. Palmerton was born on October 10, 1953, in Bryan, Ohio, the son of Paul F. and Annabelle (Lee) Palmerton. He married Maria V. “Vickie” Barrientes on May 24, 1975, in Bryan, and she survives. Also surviving are his son, Melvin D. (Jennifer James) Palmerton, of Bryan; grandchildren, Rylee and Matthew Palmerton, of Churubusco, Indiana; his sister, Carole (Lyle) Fillmore, of Antwerp, Ohio; nephew, Jason (Liz) Cisneros, of Edon, Ohio; and niece, Jennifer Artz, of Oregon, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Moyer.
Due to the ongoing pandemic restrictions, the family will not have any visitation or services at this time.
