Menzaneta R. Buck, age 93, of Edon, Ohio, died peacefully in her home on July 4, 2016. Mrs. Buck was a graduate of St. Vincent School of Nursing and worked as a registered nurse at Williams County General Hospital in Montpelier, Ohio, operated a nursing home in Edon and later was an industrial nurse for the 50 Corporation. She then went back to school and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. She then taught 3rd grade and later 5th grade in the Edon Northwest School System for more than twenty years. She was a member of the Edon United Methodist Church and the Williams County Retired Reachers Association. She also enjoyed crafting, baking and decorating.
Menzaneta R. Buck was born on August 12, 1922, near Edon, the daughter of Ira and Sevilla (Rockey) Keiss. She married Lee B. Buck on May 20, 1944, in Macon, Georgia, and he preceded her in death on October 13, 1991.
Survivors include one son, Larry (Carol) Buck, of Edon; four grandchildren, Keith (Heather) Buck, of Indianapolis, Indiana, Brian Buck, of Akron, Ohio, Lisa (Scott) Krebs, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Aaron Buck, of Edon; twelve great-grandchildren; one sister, Wilma Baughman, of Garrett, Indiana; one brother, Joe (Elba) Keiss, of Angola, Indiana; and a sister-in-law, Marlee Burkholder, of Edon. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Vern Keiss.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 204 West Indiana Street, Edon. Services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the Edon United Methodist Church with Pastor Doug Widdowson officiating. Visitation will also be held for one hour prior to the service in the church, beginning at 10:00 A.M.
