Michael Ridenour, 62

Michael E. Ridenour, 62 years, of Bryan, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at the University of Toledo Medical Center, Toledo. Mike was born May 5, 1953 in Garrett, Indiana, the son of Merl and Louella (Durham) Ridenour.  He was a 1972 graduate of North Central High School, attending 4-County Joint Vocational School, received his certification in Welding.  Mike was most recently employed by Martin Sprocket in Montpelier.  Prior to this, he worked for Bil-Jax for nearly 40 years.  He also worked part-time for PNR Welding in West Unity.  He had attended Bryan Church of the Nazarene as well as New Life Worship Center.  His hobbies include welding, fishing, tinkering in his garage and following the University of Michigan in football.  He also enjoyed spending time meeting new people.  He was said to never have known a stranger.

Surviving are his two daughters, Becca Ridenour of Bryan and Valerie (Joel VanDeVoorde) Ridenour also of Bryan; one granddaughter, Kallie VanDeVoorde; his mother, Louella Ridenour of Kunkle; three sisters, Nadine (Jake) Snyder of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Anne Ridenour of Kunkle and Lois Knape of Kunkle; one brother, David (Jane) Ridenour of Bowling Green, Ohio as well as many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his dad.

Visitation for Michael E. Ridenour will be held Friday, August 14, 2015 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home-Greenisen Chapel, 225 East High Street, Bryan where funeral services will begin at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor J. Mark Holbrook officiating.  Interment will be private.
