Mildred R. Apple, age 85, of Bryan, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at her home. Mildred had worked at Ohio Art and Allied Moulded prior to her retirement. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Stryker. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, but especially loved spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred was born on October 25, 1931 in Ney, Ohio. She was the daughter of Charles and Grace (Crowl) Balzer. She married Howard L. Apple on October 1, 1955 in Angola, Indiana and he survives. Mildred is also survived by her sons, Randy (Sue) Apple, of Delphos and Tim (Connie) Apple, of Bryan; grandchildren, Travis Apple, Brooke Apple, Tiffany Finch, Staci Apple, Corey (Marcella Cherry) Apple and Trevor Apple; great-grandchildren, Miles Finch, Lane Hurlbert, Xavier Oliphant, Alexis Oliphant and Mya Apple and step great-grandchildren, Mason Finch and Ciara Finch. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Mildred R. Apple will be held on Saturday, December 24, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan with her granddaughter, Pastor Brooke Apple officiating. Burial at Sherwood Cemetery will follow the services. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Williams and Fulton Counties or the American Cancer Society.
