Quite a bit of recognition. In continuing its program to recognize local veterans, officials in Montpelier are looking to provide name dedications to a couple of bridges in the village. “What we’re looking to do as part of the nation’s 250th birthday, is to have the viaduct over the Norfolk Southern railroad on the east side of Montpelier, on the Williams County Veterans Memorial Highway, designated as the POW-MIA Memorial Viaduct,” Kevin Motter told the Williams County commissioners earlier this week. And according to the Bryan Times he added they would also like to have the highway bridge over the St. Joseph River near the village designated as the Gold and Blue Star Families Memorial Highway.
