Morris D. Warner, 82

Morris D. Warner, age 82, of Edgerton, Ohio, died at 9:55 A.M. on Monday, December 5, 2016, in his home after a brief illness. Mr. Warner was a graduate of Edon High School and served in the United States Army. He was employed by the Ohio Art Company in Bryan and retired with more than forty years of service. He was a member of the Edgerton United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Men, the Pomona and Sodom Grange and the Ohio State Grange, and was an active member of the Edgerton Lions Club where he was president several times and most recently of the Pioneer Ohio Lions Club. Morris was an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, gardening and tending to his rose garden.

Morris D. Warner was born on January 18, 1934, in Hicksville, Ohio, the son of Forest W. and Pauline (Ridenour) Warner. He married Lorna J. Ordway, on June 4, 1960, in Edgerton, Ohio and she survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Sandy (Kent) Castor, of Bryan, Ohio and Paula (Kerry) Whetro, of Mascotte, Florida; one son, Ryan Warner, of Naples, Florida; four grandchildren, Lindsay (Robert) Causey, Bryan (Veronica) Whetro, Brittany (Jason) Boeke and Lora Whetro; and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Elden Warner; two sisters, Arlis Cox and an infant sister, Nova Warner; and an infant great-grandson, Mack Boeke.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 114 East Hull Street, Edgerton with a Lions service will be held at 7:45 P.M. in the funeral home. Services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton with Reverend R.L. Barnett officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Edgerton with grave side military rites conducted by John D. Smith Post #10 of the American Legion and the United States Army Honor Guard.

Memorials are requested to Heartland Hospice, the Edgerton United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or to the Pioneer Lions Club.
