MULTI-COUNTY DRUG BUST

Arrests and prop­erty seizures resulted from a big drug sweep through the area.

More than $1 Mil­lion worth of mar­i­juana plants were seized by area law enforce­ment offi­cers through­out a five county area includ­ing Williams, Ful­ton, Henry, Put­nam, and Defi­ance coun­ties last week.

The total was actu­ally 1,176 pot plants with a street value some­where around $1,764,000 plus other drugs such as metham­phet­a­mine.

Two peo­ple in Put­nam County were arrested… Micheal Schwaiger and Joe Bonar, both of Ottawa.

The Multi-Area Nar­cotics Task Force says charges are pend­ing against three oth­ers in Put­nam County, and charges are also pend­ing against other peo­ple in Williams, Henry, Lucas and Pauld­ing counties.
