Murder Trial Underway In Paulding County

On Mon­day, a jury was finally cho­sen for the mur­der trial of Steven Noff­singer in Pauld­ing County. The 59 year old Noff­singer, of Defi­ance, is charged with aggra­vated mur­der in con­nec­tion with the death of his ex-wife, Alma Noff­singer, whose body was found in her home in Oak­wood back in 1981. Now, Noffsinger’s trial is clear to get under­way. Jurors were told yes­ter­day that Noff­singer him­self will not take the stand in his defense. 90 prospec­tive jurors were called, and jury selec­tion lasted more than five hours. Although jurors will not be sequestered, they were instructed that they are not allowed to post any­thing on social media regard­ing the case, nor are they allowed to dis­cuss it with anyone.
