Murhl D. Stahl, age 88, of Montpelier, Ohio, died at 9:28 P.M. on Sunday, October 2, 2016, at Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers in Montpelier, where he was a patient. Mr. Stahl was a veteran of the United States Navy and was employed by TRW in Fayette, Ohio, and retired with forty years of service. He was an avid fisherman.
Murhl D. Stahl was born on January 1, 1928, in Alvordton, Ohio, the son of William David and Sylvia Alberta (Severence) Stahl. He married Donna M. (Gaff) Groll on November 27, 1981, in Golden, Colorado, and she survives.
Survivors also include his children, Merlene Hernandez and Lana Belmontes, of Rockford, Illinois, Ronald Stahl, of Alvordton, Robert (Mary) Stahl, of Fort Lupton, Colorado, John (Vicki) Stahl, of Holiday, Florida, Melanie (John) Cashe, of Cocoa, Florida, Barbara “Susie” Ogden, of Bryan, and Peggy (Andy) Miller, of Liberty Center, Ohio; his stepchildren, Mike (Susie) Groll, of Punta Gorda, Florida, Treasa (Jack) Beres, of Pioneer, Ohio, Lorie (Terry) Bartlett, of Rico Rica, Arizona, Ken Groll, of Thibodaux, Louisiana, Randy (Laura Mann) Groll, of Pioneer, and Terry Clifton, of Orlando, Florida; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Charles William Stahl, and eleven brothers and sisters, Hubert ”Bidge” Stahl, Beulah Borton, Grace Page, Nina Simmons, Daisy Lambright, Lucille Biggs, Irene Mavis, Renabelle Stahl, Theodore Stahl and Paul Stahl.
A celebration of Murhl’s life will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016, beginning at 1:00 P.M. in the Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. Interment will be private. Military honors will be presented by Bryan VFW Post #2489 and the Unites States Navy Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to a charity of the donor’s choice.
