Nancy Borton, 78

Nancy J. Borton, age 78, of Wauseon, passed away at the Fulton County Health Center on Sunday morning, May 5, 2013, while surrounded by her loving family. Prior to her retirement she had worked in the Deli at Chief Supermarket in Wauseon for nine years.

Nancy was born in Fulton County, Ohio on December 29, 1934, the daughter of Harry and Sarah Lucile (Cutlip) Jackson. On July 27, 1952 she married Robert E. Borton, Jr., and he preceded her in death in 2010. Nancy was a lifelong member of the First Church of God in Wauseon.

Surviving are her children; Mike (Rhonda) Borton, Jeannie (Tom) Hamilton and Lori (John) Grime, all of Wauseon; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kelly Borton of Wauseon; one brother, Duane Jackson of Coniers, Georgia; and two sisters, Sharon McVickers of Florida and Susan Powalowski of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Joe Borton; and two brothers, Curtis and Richard Jackson.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the Edgar-Grisier Funeral Home in Wauseon. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, at the First Church of God in Wauseon, with Pastor Paul Flores and Pastor Wendell Nofziger, officiating Interment will follow in the Wauseon Union Cemetery. The family requests that memorial contributions be given to the First Church of God.
