Nancy J. Collins of Edon, Ohio, and Hyannis, Massachusetts, died on November 26, 2016, following complications suffered from a stroke having occurred a week earlier. Nancy was born on January 7, 1943, in Columbus, Ohio, the daughter of David Bailey and Helen Mae (Davis) Travis.
She graduated from Fredericktown (Ohio) High School in 1961. She graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and later received a Master’s Degree in Counseling from The University of Toledo. She taught math and later became a guidance counselor in the Washington Local School System (Toledo, Ohio), where she was employed for over thirty years.
She enjoyed hunting for and buying antiques, especially on Cape Cod, where she and her husband, Mike, resided 4-5 months annually for the past several years in Hyannis.
Surviving in addition to Mike, are son, Brendan (Debbie) Collins, of Toledo; grandsons, Franklin and Vincent; sister, Sharon (David) McMillan, of Hilton Head, South Carolina; sister, Becky Henlett, of Johnstown, Ohio; and brothers, Bob (Darlene) Stricker and Jeff (Debbie) Sticker, of Columbus.
Service arrangements have been entrusted to Krill Funeral Service, Edon, Ohio. Private services will be held at a later date.
