Napoleon Chief On Administrative Leave

In Napoleon, the city Fire Chief Robert Ben­nett has been placed on admin­is­tra­tive leave.

Ben­nett was place on leave, effec­tive last Fri­day after­noon. Now, Assis­tant Fire Chief Tony Druhot is serv­ing as act­ing chief of the depart­ment.

City Offi­cials will not com­ment on the sit­u­a­tion, only say­ing pub­licly that an admin­is­tra­tive inves­ti­ga­tion is pend­ing.

Mean­while, Ben­net is still employed by the city, and still on the pay­roll. He is said to be work­ing from home.

Ben­nett has been the Napoleon Fire Chief since 2005.
