Napoleon Police Officer dies Saturday evening on duty.

A City of Napoleon police officer died Saturday evening on duty in what is believed to be a suicide.  Napoleon Police Chief Edward Legg said the officer was found dead during a check while he was on patrol. He appeared to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Legg. Napoleon city officials offered this statement about the officer’s death: “The City of Napoleon is mourning the loss of one of our police officers who passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024″.
