The state says there are $2.3 bil­lion dol­lars in unclaimed funds just wait­ing for their right­ful own­ers to pick up. The money, which the Ohio Depart­ment of Com­merce Divi­sion of Unclaimed Funds, is often for­got­ten in bank accounts, rent or util­ity deposits, uncashed checks and uncashed insur­ance poli­cies. You can see if you have any money com­ing to you by check­ing the department’s web­site or call the Divi­sion of Unclaimed Funds. There is no charge.
