New accountants to handle some aspects for the Williams County Port Authority.

Total Accounting Xperts LLC in Bryan will be handling some of the financial aspects for the Williams County Port Authority. Dave Newcomer and Dawn Fitzcharles, authority chair and vice chair, respectively, met with Cheryl Karnes of the business to discuss what she could offer them. To further help that streamlining, Total Accounting Xperts would help authority members with a variety of services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, issuance of checks and certain reporting requirements such as for grants, officials say. Total Accounting Xperts will also serve as a central hub for invoicing, rebates and helping the authority maintain obligations. Currently, Weber Bookkeeping Solutions handles some of these tasks, but Total Accounting Xperts will offer more services and work locally, both of which are a benefit, they add. The rate would be $50 an hour, with Karnes charging in 30 minute increments.
