New Hanger Clears Hurdle

The Williams County Regional Airport is set to get a new hangar. County commissioners received three bids for the project. On Monday morning they awarded it to Thiel Construction, of Blakeslee, for $1.7 million dollars. The competing bids were $2.7 million…from Rupp/Rosebrock Inc., of Liberty Center, and $1.9 million dollars…from Strebig Construction, of Fort Wayne. The dual-purpose building can also be used as an emergency staging facility by the county Emergency Management Agency, if the need arises. Alternate bids for a west-facing hangar were $1.7 million from Rupp/Rosebrock…$1.4 million from Strebig and $1.2 million from Thiel Construction.
